During the 2018 Indiana FFA State Convention, Redline Equipment supported the Indiana FFA along with members interested in diesel mechanics by sponsoring the Agricultural Mechanics Repair & Maintenance (Entrepreneurship) Proficiency award.
“The farm equipment industry has a great need for service technicians,” Heather Hetterick, Director of Marketing & Communications at Redline Equipment said. “It’s important we support young people who show an interest in this career field. They potentially can be our next generation of service technicians.”
Gabe Hefty of the DeKalb chapter was the 2018 state winner.
The Agricultural Mechanic Repair & Maintenance Proficiency competition is for FFA members who own an enterprise or business involving the repair and maintenance of agricultural equipment (including lawn equipment) and/or structures.
“One of our core values is community and being a supporter of youth in agriculture. We have a developed a great relationship with the Indiana FFA and are proud to be a supporter of their programs and outstanding youth,” Hetterick said.
Earlier this year, Redline Equipment raised $6,150 for the Indiana FFA through the Parts Day sale, which is funding scholarships for 30 Indiana FFA members from the counties Redline Equipment serves, to attend the Washington Leadership Conference and Indiana FFA leadership conferences.
