Herbicide Application with Case IH 4430 Patriot

Jun. 13 2018 Precision Farming By Redline Equipment

Roush Family Farms made a herbicide application to the Precision farming Test Plot Saturday, June 2nd at approximately 1:30 p.m. with a mix of herbicide appropriate for full season weed control. A Case IH 4430 Patriot sprayer with 120-foot booms was used to complete the application.

Prior to spraying, the team noticed weed pressure in the singulation trials and near the end of the rows. The spotted weeds only measured a few inches in height, so application timing was favorable. Identified weed species included common lambsquater, common ragweed, marestail, and yellow nutsedge.

“This piece of equipment worked well for us because it allowed for less passes across the field, less traffic patterns and less spraying time,” said Jim Moon, Gas City Territory Account Manager.
