Redline Equipment – 2020 Year in Review
Challenges of 2020 were real for both you and Redline Equipment. Your health and that of your Redline Equipment’s team have always been our priority. We are required to abide by the various Executive Orders in the states we serve. These orders have required a lot of changes to our operations, and we have made every effort to be respectful of everyone’s concerns and abide by these orders. 2020 was a year of reaction to events that we could not control.
Working from home offices and online meetings are the current norm. We try to limit travel as much as possible. Our business has been affected in numerous ways. Thankfully, our role in supporting agriculture and construction has allowed us to continue to serve you. Thank you for supporting these efforts. It hasn’t been easy.
We are truly in a global market. Foreign decisions have great effect on our domestic Ag economy. Manufacturers source their components around the globe. Early in the year the impact was pronounced. Factories were closed both here and abroad. Through all of these changes, we kept our focus on having machines, parts & service ready to keep you going.
LOOKING AHEAD
Through much of 2020, uncertainty has reigned. Commodity prices and livestock operations have seen major swings. For much of the year, low prices affected all decisions. Since Mid-August, we’ve seen abrupt changes. Commodities are at historical price levels. Demand for both new and used machines has gone from very low to very high. Optimism is a welcome change for 2021. We expect that lead times for new machines will be longer than normal. This is due to both supply chain interruptions and strong demand. Recent indications are that steel prices are on also on the rise. For all these reasons, consider your 2021 needs and be prepared.
We have a number of new products and improvements expected for 2021. AFS Connect technology is currently in all new Magnum and Steiger tractors. New tillage products such as the Speed Tiller and Vibra-Tine field cultivator, continue Case IH tillage as the industry leader. In 2020, we realigned our sales territories and added additional Territory Account Managers (TAM). This investment will result in greater ability to provide the personal service you have come to know from Redline Equipment. We know that you value your relationship with your TAM and we place the highest priority on continuing to support your sales relationships.
Our parts operations, have in many ways, been the most affected. Since they are in close contact with customers regularly, we have provided them with every resource. We have implemented a number of measures that will be of benefit for years to come. Curbside pickup and e-commerce integration are here to stay. We have adjusted a number of internal processes to improve our speed-of-transactions and our in-season parts availability. We have also made investments in additional bulk oil products and capabilities.
For the second year in a row, all 11 Redline Equipment Ag locations have achieved the Case IH Pinnacle Excellence Recognition in Service. This is the highest level a Case IH dealership can achieve. We continue to train to develop a best-in-class service operation. 2020 required changes in this training. Everything was online. Our Technicians brought machines into our service shops for training while instructors were observing and coaching online. Keeping our service team trained and up to date on the latest products means we keep you running with fewer delays. Our inspection program continues to focus on providing uptime for your operation. Winter is the best time for you to make this investment in your success in 2021. Having your machine inspected and repaired not only prevents in season breakdowns but it saves you money.
We are all looking forward to a return to normal. Thank you for your business. We are here to support you, Any Reason, Any Season, Any Time!
We wish you a Happy, Prosperous and Safe New Year!
